Funeral Scheme
Became operational in 2016 and the aim being to provide funeral cover to BLLAHWU members. Metropolitan is the underwriter for the funeral scheme. The funeral plan assists members and their families with the costs associated with a funeral.
How Does It Work?
- The policy covers the main member, their spouse and up to eight (8) children (below the age of 21years). The policy holder further has the option to cover their parents and /parents-in-law (up to a maximum of four parents) and other extended family members at an additional premium.
- In the event of the death of covered individuals claims settlement amounts will be as per the coverages stated under the policy.
- Please note that the above information is applicable to policies that are up to date with monthly premiums.
