Trade Union International Public Services Workers and Allied (TUI- PS&A), is a sectoral international union under the class-oriented World Federation of Trade Unions ( WFTU). The Vice President Cde Marurung Masemola and Regional Secretary Cde Ketlhalefile FC Motshegwa of TUI-PS&A Africa english speaking met at the Regional office in (Gaborone) Botswana on the 25th of January 2024 to introspect on the state of public service unions in the Region, crafted modalities of cementing the working-class agenda, how to support and unite public service unions. They discussed key features to programme for a growing and impactful TUI in the Region.
The following day, the TUI-PS&A leadership met with the leadership of Botswana Public Employees Union (BOPEU), Botswana Sector of Educators Union (BOSETU) and Botswana Land Boards Local Authorities & Health Workers Union (BLLAHWU) to forge the spirit of uniting public service unions to enhance ideological clarity , agitate efforts for liberation of workers and to unleash and sustain a resilient and formidable battle against capitalism which is the source of workers exploitation and manipulation.
